Robert Loomis

Robert was born in Nurnberg, Germany. He studied Art, Art History, and Media Arts at the University of Arizona where he later taught film production and film financing courses. For ten years, Robert was the lead instructor in Digital Film & Video at the Art Institute of Tucson before moving to Pima Community College, where he has been proud to lead the Digital Film Arts program for the last six years.

In addition to being a represented screenwriter, Robert has worked in the film industry in both Tucson and Los Angeles in positions ranging from Production Assistant to Key Grip and Gaffer.He has been involved with independent filmmaking for over twenty-five years and responsible for many shorts, videos, and commercials of which he produced four, in addition to directing three feature length films, Dog Years, Angry Young Man, and Dropkick.
