Dr. Raymond Ryder

Dr. Raymond T. Ryder teaches piano, class piano, Music Fundamentals, and Popular Music in America at Pima Community College. Dr. Ryder is also the Organist and Handbell Director at Desert Skies United Methodist Church, and Dean of the Southern Arizona American Guild of Organists. Raymond is a performing member of the community supported professional handbell ensemble Sonoran Bells.

He is a Past President and the Honored Teacher 2014 of the Arizona State Music Teachers Association, as well as a Past President of the Tucson Music Teachers Association. Dr. Ryder holds degrees from the University of Colorado, the Florida State University, and the University of Arizona where he studied piano with Rex Woods and organ with Roy Johnson. Prior to moving to Tucson, Raymond was on the faculty of Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, and on the accompanying staff of the Interlochen Arts Camp for nine summers.
